To the People of Lincoln County,
This letter is long overdue! It is a thank you letter.
Thank you to all the folks of Lincoln County who for 2 1/2 years fought hard to keep the Pine Crest Nursing Home in the possession of our county, in our possession. We tried our best, but lastly were unable to convince the Lincoln County Board, that it would be in the best of the county’s interest to not sell it to an out of state, for profit, big company.
We fought a good fight and so I thank all, who collected signatures, signed petitions, showed up and spoke at county board meetings, attended town hall meetings, demanded a referendum, displayed signs, and took time to write letters to the newspaper and again and again were present for numerous meetings.
Thank you to this community for supporting and standing up for the common good!
Together we all hope that the residents of Pine Crest will be well cared for, now and in the future.
