Joanne “Joey” B. Domaika, age 65, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home under the care of her family and Aspirus Hospice.  Joey was born in Milwaukee, WI, on Mother’s Day, May 8, 1960, to the late Anthony and Dorothy (Machgan) Adamczyk.  In 1973, Joey moved with her family to Tomahawk where she would spend most of her life.  She graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1978.

On March 31, 2004, Joey was united in marriage to Ronald Domaika. Together they shared many happy years, including spending their winters in Tucumcari, NM.  Joey worked for many years as the manager at Silverado.

She had a special connection to animals and wildlife and found great joy in the nature around her home.  Joey loved watching the ducks, crows, deer, and rabbits that frequented her yard, each of them had a name, and many seemed to follow her as if they knew they were among a friend.  Joey also enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and the beautiful hanging baskets that decorated her front yard.  She loved relaxing beside a fire in the firepit and was never afraid of hard work, often using her chainsaw to cut wood or trim trees around the house.  Gifted with a remarkable photographic memory, Joey had a talent for recalling detailed stories about the people she met and the experiences she had throughout her life. She was also very creative and enjoyed crafts such as cross stitch and sewing.  Her home reflected her personality and creativity, filled with unique southwest decor.  Music was another joy in Joey’s life.  She loved classic country music and could sing along to nearly every song.  Her favorite was “Put Another Log on the Fire,” a tune that always brought a smile and captured her warm nature.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Domaika; her stepchildren, Randy Domaika, Ronnie Domaika, and Roxanne (Jerry) Klinger; her sisters, Margie (Roger) Beaumont, Nancy Millard, Donna Greiner, Judy (Jerry) Johnson, and Karen (Tim) Skinner.  She is further survived by her step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends, Denise Myers, Tammy Copiskey, and Tammy Stitely.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Dorothy; and her brother, Kenneth Adamczyk.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held.  Memorials are appreciated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.  You may view Joey’s obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com.
