NORTHERN WISCONSIN – Aspirus Health this week announced the appointment of Donny Abraham, RN, MBA, FACHE, as Vice President (VP) and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Aspirus Wisconsin North Division.

A release from Aspirus said that in this role, Abraham will provide executive leadership and operational oversight for Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital, Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital, Aspirus Eagle River Hospital and Howard Young Medical Center.

Aspirus said Abraham brings more than two decades of experience in health care, beginning his career as an Army medic and Registered Nurse before advancing into senior leadership roles known for operational excellence, cultural transformation and team engagement.

“Most recently, Abraham served as Vice President and CAO at AdventHealth Murray in Chatsworth, Ga., where he successfully led the integration of a newly acquired rural hospital,” Aspirus stated. “Under his leadership, the hospital achieved national recognition through the Leapfrog Top General Hospital and CMS 5-Star ratings.”

Prior to that, Abraham held the position of Vice President of Freestanding Emergency Services for HCA Florida, where he oversaw the design, construction and launch of multiple emergency campuses. Abraham’s teams consistently exceeded benchmarks for quality, service and growth, according to Aspirus.

“Donny brings a proven record of operational leadership, a deep respect for caregivers and a passion for improving the patient experience,” said Teri Theiler, President of Aspirus Health’s North Division. “His background in both clinical care and administration makes him uniquely equipped to advance our mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality health care across northern Wisconsin.”

Abraham said he is eager to collaborate with the region’s hospital teams and community partners.

“It’s an honor to join Aspirus Health and serve communities that truly value compassionate care,” Abraham stated. “I look forward to working alongside our dedicated physicians, nurses and staff to strengthen the exceptional care that Aspirus is known for and to continue building a culture of excellence.”

Abraham holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard as a medic.

Donny and his wife, Brenda, look forward to enjoying northern Wisconsin’s outdoor recreation and community life, Aspirus said.
