TOMAHAWK – This week, Aspirus Health announced that Katelyn Larsen, MD, has joined Aspirus Tomahawk Clinic.

In Tomahawk, Dr. Larsen will provide comprehensive family medicine care for patients of all ages, according to a release from Aspirus.

Dr. Larsen earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wausau and completed her residency training through the Altru Family Medicine Residency program in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Larsen enjoys caring for entire families and building lasting relationships with her patients, Aspirus said.

"I strive to take time to thoroughly listen to my patients so I can best help them achieve their health goals while providing quality education," Dr. Larsen stated. "I want to create long-lasting relationships to provide holistic care."

Aspirus said Dr. Larsen's professional interests include women's health, managing multiple chronic medical conditions and end-of-life care.

Dr. Larsen noted that her passion for family medicine stems from the opportunity to care for patients through every phase of life while serving communities close to home.

"I got into family medicine to care for entire families through every stage of life," Dr. Larsen said. "I enjoy the broad scope of practice and have always wanted to provide care in a rural community."

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Larsen enjoys camping, hiking, ice fishing, baking, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
