TOMAHAWK – Results for three Tuesday, April 7 Spring Election races that were to be decided by write-in – two for the City of Tomahawk Common Council and one for the School District of Tomahawk Board of Education – have been confirmed.
City of Tomahawk Common Council
Two current alderpersons will return to the City of Tomahawk Common Council after they each garnered the most write-in votes in their respective districts.
In District 1, seven write-in votes went to Bob Soward, according to results from City Hall.
Soward was appointed to the board last May following the resignation of Ed Nystrom. Soward did not file candidacy paperwork to run for reelection, but will return to the board to serve a one-year term.
District 3 alderperson Steve “Ding” Bartz will serve another three-year term after tallying seven write-in votes.
Soward, Jim Torgerson and Chris Witalski each received two write-in votes in the district, while Donald Nelson, Robin Werner, Jim Alber, Mike Lee, Jim Albert, Ron Zimmerman, Al Bishop, Tina Elvins, Chris Theiler and Dan Schuller each received on write-in vote, according to results from City Hall.
School District of Tomahawk Board of Education
A new member is set to join the School District of Tomahawk Board of Education.
Tricia Hoffman will represent the City of Tomahawk on the board. She will serve a three-year term.
District Administrator Wendell Quesinberry welcomed Hoffman to the board and congratulated returning members Ron Zimmerman and Dave Long on their reelections.
