WISCONSIN – Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) is giving customers the chance to unleash their dogs’ potential as its next safe digging “ambassadog.”
The company is accepting applications for its top dog on safety now through Thursday, July 10.
WPS customers can enter their precious pups to help spread an important safety message: “Doggone it! Call 811 at least three days before you dig.”
Here’s how WPS customers can enter their dogs into this year’s contest:
WPS will narrow the entries to a few fetching finalists before giving customers the ruff job of voting for the ultimutt winner. The top dog will be the star of the company’s safe digging awareness campaign beginning in August.
Last year, WPS customers and dog lovers alike voted to make Arlo, a nine-month-old dog from Tomahawk, the company’s first-ever ambassadog. During his term, Arlo was regularly featured on social media reminding people to call 811.
