TOMAHAWK – Last month, the Tomahawk Area Historical Society hosted a pair of special visitors.
Susie (Bradley) Salt from Illinois and Sherry (Bradley) Salt from Ohio, great-great-granddaughters of Tomahawk's founding father, William H. Bradley, visited Tomahawk on Thursday, June 19.
The afternoon started with lunch, followed by a tour of Bradley Park, a visit to Bradley's home and coach house, a stop at the Bradley wall mural on the side of Walker's General Store and visits to Tomahawk Main Street and First Congregational Church – the oldest in Tomahawk. The tour wrapped up with a tour of the Historical Society’s Old Kindergarten Museum.
Joining the tour were Historical Society President Pat Pietila, Main Street Executive Director Jennifer Turkiewicz, City of Tomahawk Clerk/Treasurer Amanda Bartz, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Miranda Swenty, William H. Bradley mural artist Andy Goretski, Joanne Semmler and Win Semmler.
“It was a wonderful visit,” this Historical Society said.
