Marion M. Forecki (Schwabe) passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the age of 101 in Tomahawk. She was born on Dec. 26, 1923 in the City of Milwaukee to Michael and Edna Schwabe. She came of age during the Great Depression raised by her mother Edna, together with her brothers Joe and Paul and her sister Audrey, all of whom predeceased her.

Marion was unrecognized valedictorian at her Catholic Grade School and graduated near the top of her class at South Division High School in Milwaukee. She fell in love and married Harry Forecki in 1949. She was a loving wife to Harry until his passing in 1988, and a wonderful mother to her children.

She is survived by her five children, Kathy (Gary) Raash, Michael (Lisa) Forecki, Karen Forecki, Kristina (Michel) Houseman, Karyl (Daniel) Corcoran and grandchildren, Charlie Forecki, Max (Beth Hanson) Corcoran, Katey (Ryan Baggerly) Houseman and Sally Houseman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marion was charismatic, was warm and trusting to all, and unkind to no one. She was a voracious reader and an encyclopedic card player. Mostly, she liked to tell stories about her past, and she was remarkably capable of doing all of these things for her hundred plus years.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, N10090 County Rd. B, Tomahawk, with Fr. Aloysius Royan Anthony officiating. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to time of service at church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider offering a Mass at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Marion’s name.
