MINOCQUA – T.A. Solberg Company Inc. (TAS), the locally owned and operated parent company of Trig's and affiliated businesses, held its 7th annual TAS Awards Banquet earlier this month.
At the banquet, held in Minocqua on Thursday, Oct. 2, TAS said it “(honored) the dedication, leadership and exceptional service of its associates across all company entities.”
“The annual event is a cherished tradition that brings together team members to reflect on the year's accomplishments and recognize the individuals who go above and beyond in their roles,” TAS stated. “This year, over 600 associates were eligible for recognition, and approximately 60 individuals were honored for their outstanding contributions across a wide range of departments and locations.”
Awards presented during the banquet included Excellence in Servant Leadership, Excellence in Operations, Excellence in Guest Service, Outstanding Department Leader, The Spark Award, Outstanding Business Leader and The Solberg Award – TAS’s most prestigious honor.
TAS said this year’s Solberg Award was presented to Angie Miller, Store Director of Trig's Eagle River, “for her exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to excellence, and embodiment of the core values that define the T.A. Solberg legacy.”
Team members from all TAS entities were eligible for recognition, including Trig's, Trig's Village Market, Ace Hardware, Tone Zone Fitness, Trig's Smokehouse, Trig's Pharmacy, Shell and Caribou Coffee.
Among those recognized were numerous Trig’s Tomahawk employees.
“Our people are the heart of everything we do,” said Bob Jaskolski, President and CEO of T.A. Solberg Company, Inc. “I couldn’t be more proud of this team and the way they show up every day—with integrity, with passion, and a mindset for providing great service. Being a locally owned and operated independent means we’re part of the communities we serve, and our associates are what make that possible.”
In addition to associate honors, each year the TAS Awards also recognize one Outstanding Business Partner. This year’s recipient was UNFI, the company’s primary grocery wholesaler. TAS said UNFI was commended for its reliable partnership and high level of service, with special recognition given to Chris Morton and his team for their ongoing support and collaboration.
“The TAS Awards continue to stand as a powerful reminder of the strength of the company’s objectives: celebrating people, fostering leadership, and creating meaningful impact in every area of the business,” TAS stated.
