TRIPOLI – After a Tripoli gas station was lost in a fire last year, the business was able to rebuild and give back to several area fire departments that responded to the scene.

Tri-Mart BP, W11069 U.S. Hwy. 8, Tripoli, held a grand opening celebration and fundraiser in October. Through 50/50 and basket raffles and other donations, a total of $14,525.00 was raised.

Darcy Johnson of Tri-Mart recently presented Tomahawk Fire Department Chief Paul Winter with a donation of $13,091.00.

Funds were also allocated to the Little Rice, Nokomis and Prentice fire departments.

“Thank you to everyone that helped make this a success,” Johnson said. “We couldn't have done it without you. And thank you again to all these selfless individuals that volunteer to keep us all safe.”
