Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 21, the Tomahawk Leader will be published weekly on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays, meaning subscribers will receive their papers one day later than they’re accustomed to. The publishing date change is an effort to bring readers a more modernized product.
“To accomplish this, due to limitations of our current printing partner, we are moving our printing of the Leader to a new printer that has the capability to print every page in color,” stated Multi Media Channels General Manager Tim Schreiber. “This allows us to bring you a much more modern-looking paper that makes for a better reading experience.”
Although the printing date has moved, the deadline for news and advertising items will remain 5 p.m. Thursday for the following week’s paper.
Schreiber states the updates to the printed version of the Leader will reflect the recent upgrades made to the Tomahawk Leader website, tomahawkleader.com, where readers can access all news, sports, nature, government, education and opinion articles, as well as photos, classifieds, obituaries and the Tomahawk Fishing Report, free of charge for a limited time.
The new website features a “more user-friendly, more colorful, more informative experience,” Schreiber noted.
“We hope our readers and advertisers both understand why we are making the (publishing date) change, and in short order we expect that they will be accustomed to it being a Wednesday paper going forward,” Schreiber stated.
