ROTHSCHILD – Tomahawk High School (THS) students, along with numerous other area high schoolers, were recognized at the Central Wisconsin Manufacturers Alliance (CWIMA) annual awards banquet, held in Rothschild on Monday, May 18.
At the banquet, central Wisconsin students were honored for their skills in machine tool and welding.
Top high schoolers in the area faced off for scholarships that can be used at local technical colleges in any technical field.
THS’s Bradyn Ristau and Tyler Strassman were among those recognized.
Ristau earned second place individually in the welding contest, securing a $1,900.00 scholarship.
THS took third place as a team in the welding competition.
In the lathe contest, Strassman placed eighth.
Instructor Brian Schiltz congratulated the Tomahawk students on their accomplishments.
