MEDFORD – On Thursday, Oct. 3, the Tomahawk Middle School cross country team traveled to Medford Area High School for their annual invitational.
The young team finally experienced some fantastic weather perfect for running, and due to these conditions, both teams shared some team and personal success.
The boys’ 3rd-place team was led by first-time invitational medalist Connor Zorn, crossing the line in 5th place with a new personal best time of 13:00.
The girls, for the second week in a row, found a way to be competitive with some of the great teams of the area, placing 4th, led by the efforts of Charlee Lund's 2nd-place finish in a time of 13:20.
Hatchet runners in scoring position included Victoria Towle (26th), Leigha Vassar (29th), Alyse Arndt (38th), Elaine Huber (39th), Allie Reiff (48th), Lucy Nelson (48th), Kamron Ristau (21st), Hector Luna-Perez (22nd), Max Micke (23rd), Levi Cerkas (32nd), Max Childers (34th), and Tripp Tabbert (36th), Other Hatchet finishers include: Chastin Dziura (37th), George VanAsten (49th), Zachary Scott (53rd), Vallyn Ott (55th), Finn Childers (56th), Eli Scott (57th), Lily Meurer (53rd), Alaina Stogbauer (57th), Nevaeh Mathis (61st), Nora Bubolz (62nd), Gabby Ulrich (64th) and Kortney Busterud (66th).
