EAGLE RIVER – Six Tomahawk High School (THS) students recently represented Tomahawk at the first Great Northern Conference (GNC) Leadership Summit.
Siennah, Claire, Elise, Ethan, Jack and Tiegan attended the summit, held at Northland Pines High School on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Student-athletes and Athletic Directors from each GNC school attended.
The School District of Tomahawk said the day's goal was to “collaborate and create a conference vision regarding sportsmanship.”
GNC Commissioner Scott Winch, local official Jeff Weik and each conference Athletic Director worked together to facilitate discussions, lead activities and provide opportunities for each student-athlete to make a difference as a leader at their school.
“It was a great day to be a part of the Great Northern Conference,” the district stated.
