LINCOLN COUNTY – A Tennessee man convicted of a 2025 shooting in Gleason was sentenced last month.
Bobby D. Dabbs 27, of Trenton, Tenn., was arrested by authorities in Tennessee last year, following an investigation into a shooting incident that took place at Club X to C Golf Course in Gleason in the early morning hours of Friday, Feb. 7, 2025.
The incident left a Gleason-area man hospitalized in critical condition.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office collaborated on the case with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee. The information gathered was provided to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office, which concluded that probable cause existed for felony criminal charges to be filed, leading to a nationwide arrest warrant issued for Daabs.
Daabs was extradited to the Lincoln County Jail in March 2025 and that October pleaded no contest to one felony count of first degree reckless injury and one count of resisting or obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor.
Daabs appeared in Lincoln County court for sentencing on Monday, Jan. 26. As part of a plea agreement, one felony count of first degree attempted homicide was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion, and a second was dismissed but read in. One felony charge of aggravated battery intending great bodily harm was dismissed but read in.
Judge Galen Bayne-Allison sentenced Daabs to 12 years of initial confinement, followed by eight years of extended supervision. Daabs will also be required to pay court costs and restitution yet to be determined. He was credited with 315 days served.
