TOMAHAWK – Tomahawk Area Interfaith Volunteers (TAIV) will hold a golf scramble fundraiser next month.
The event will be held at Edgewater Country Club, N10369 Echo Valley Rd., Tomahawk, on Saturday, July 19, with registration at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
In a release, TAIV said it aims to have 10 teams, with two to four golfers per team.
Cost is $50.00 per team member, which includes golf fees, carts, buffet meals and raffle prizes.
Area businesses and organizations are assisting TAIV with the event.
“TAIV has been very successful since it was formed in 2005,” the organization said. “Our organization has grown in both the scope of services provided and the number of people served. It began primarily as a transportation program to assist community members who did not have a means of their own to attend appointments for medical services. Our organization has grown, and we are presently initiating a small home maintenance, light housekeeping, and cooking with a companion service.”
TAIV noted that it works closely with Tomahawk area churches and cooperates with local medical, law enforcement and social services professionals.
For more information on the golf scramble or TAIV, contact Director Gloria Quinn or Administrative Assistant Robert Schmidtbauer at 715-453-8200.
TAIV is located in the Tomahawk Senior Center, 113A S. Tomahawk Ave., Tomahawk.
