LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office recently congratulated two employees on their retirements.

Julie Strassman started at the Sheriff’s Office in March 2016.

“Julie was often the first face you saw when you walked into our building,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “Among Julie's secretarial duties, she was also an integral part of our civil process duties. Julie, thank you for your service to our agency and to the citizens of Lincoln County. Enjoy your retirement!”

Telecommunications Officer Christine Turner-Meilahn was hired by then-Sheriff Koth in 2002.

During her time at the Sheriff’s Office, Turner-Meilahn was a field training officer (FTO), the Advanced TIME System administrator and the Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC). She is also the last Telecommunications Officer to have served in the original 911 Center.

“When asked what she would miss most about the job, she said helping people and being that calm voice for those experiencing one of the worst days of their lives,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “Christine looks forward to relaxing with her family and pets in retirement. Christine, thank you for your service to our agency and to the citizens of Lincoln County. Enjoy your retirement!”
