Ruth J. Fennema, 96, of Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025 at Riverview Health Services. Ruth was born April 1, 1929, the daughter of Martin and Hattie (Newendyke) DeHamer. She was united in marriage to Sidney Fennema on Sept.17, 1948 and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary (Mario) Planera, Illinois; son, Mark (Judy) Fennema, Tomahawk; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sidney; and a brother, Preston.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Aspirus Staff, Annie and Sarah, and everyone at Riverview Health Services for their compassion and care of Ruth these past years.
Honoring Ruth’s wishes, there will be no services.
