Renee A. Wishneski, of Tomahawk/Sun City, Ariz., passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020 in Sun City, Ariz. Renee was born on April 27, 1951, to John and Elaine Wishneski in Stevens Point, Wis. She attended schools in Stevens Point, graduating from PJ Jacobs High School in 1969. After high school she went to UWSP, majoring in English. During this time she worked part time at Sentry Insurance in the Word Processing Department. She continued her many years of service at Sentry Insurance until her retirement.

Renee loved the Northwoods, spending a lot of time there with her family and friends. This is where Renee would meet her future husband. Renee married Orrin Kolberg on her birthday in 2003, so her “stupid” husband would only have to remember one date. Orrin and Renee spent her remaining years in Tomahawk and Sun City. Renee was an avid Green Bay Packers fan with Mason Crosby being her favorite player.

Renee is survived by her sister Denise (Kurt) Schweers, nephews, Kristopher (Ariel) Schweers and Tyler Schweers. Two great nephews, Briar and Felix Schweers. Two stepchildren, Michael Kolberg and Michelle Kolberg, one step grandson Gage Kolberg and two step-great-grandchildren Olivia and Benson Kolberg and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

As per Renee’s request, there will be a private family memorial at a later date. Regency Mortuary of Sun City, Ariz., helped the family with arrangements.
