Raise Your Voice club holds first Color Run for mental health awareness

Posted

TOMAHAWK – In an effort to raise awareness for mental health, the School District of Tomahawk Raise Your Voice club last week held its first community Color Run.

The district thanked the club and National Honor Society students who volunteered to make the event possible, as well as Connor Ahrens and Stacy Bolder for assisting with the route and making sure all participants made it through safely.

The district also gave a shoutout to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Aspirus, who help fund the Raise Your Voice club, and thanked the Lincoln County Health Department for setting up resource tables offering mental health information and summer activities for families.

“This event wouldn't have been possible without the passion and leadership of our students, whose dedication to mental health awareness and supporting others is admirable,” the district stated.
