Polly D. Rathbun, age 63, of Tomahawk, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at her home under the care of her family and Compassus Hospice. Polly was born in Elkhorn, Wis., on Aug. 15, 1960, to the late Harold and Mary (Trout) Peters. She was married to Scott Rathbun on Nov. 3, 1979; he survives.
Polly was a 1978 graduate of Lake Geneva High School. She later worked at Filtertech for several years, retiring in 1996. After retirement, Polly and Scott moved to the Northwoods where they enjoyed the outdoors walking, biking, boating, tubing, waterskiing, and fishing. Polly and Scott loved motorcycling and she was proud to drive her own Heritage Harley-Davidson. She was a dedicated wife and companion who lovingly raised her children and cherished time spent with her grandchildren, following them in all of their school activities and sports.
Survivors include her husband of over 44 years, Scott Rathbun, of Tomahawk; her son, Scott (Colleen) Rathbun, of Harshaw, Wis.; her daughter, Tricia (Joe) Mack, of Trempealeau, Wis.; her brothers, Tom (Simone) Peters, of Missouri, and Gene (Christina) Peters, of Appleton, Wis.; and her sister, Debbie Babieckzko, of Marquette, Mich. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Abraham, Ellerie, Ava, Vince, Rachel, and Vic. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary; her sister, Barb Hanson; and her brother, Rick Feuerhammer.
Memorial services for Polly Rathbun were held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at Generations Funeral Home, at 11 a.m. Pastor Ross Nelson officiated. The family received friends for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family.
