TOMAHAWK – Tomahawk Music on the River (TMOR) recently announced the lineup for its 18th summer concert series.

A release from TMOR said the series will feature seven free concerts at Veterans Memorial Park in Tomahawk. The concerts will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Wednesday, from Wednesday, June 11 through Wednesday, July 23.

“Concert attendees are encouraged to arrive by car, foot, bicycle or boat, and bring lawn chairs, picnic suppers, coolers, family members, neighbors and friends,” TMOR stated.

All concerts are offered free of charge to the public. In the event of inclement weather, the indoor arena at SARA Park will be utilized.

Copper Box will kick off the concert series on Wednesday, June 11.

“A longtime favorite returning this year to kick off the season, Copper Box is an accordion-fueled, roots rock party, TMOR said. “Based in Oshkosh, Wis., the band and its members have won multiple Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) awards over the years, entertaining crowds with threads of blues, rock, zydeco and polka, all fused together in a genre-blending celebration.”

On Wednesday, June 18, the Kylar Kuzio Band will take the TMOR stage.

“Making their debut at TMOR, Kylar Kuzio and her band have demonstrated exceptional talent in the Hodag country pick-off competition, securing a position in the top three last year,” TMOR said. “Their performances appeal to both mature audiences and younger individuals alike. Kylar incorporates original material along with popular songs from rock, country, blues, pop and hip-hop genres. Audiences may also discover new favorites through her performances.”

The Jimmy’s will return to TMOR on Wednesday, June 25.

“This esteemed band is known for their high-energy performances and has been repeatedly recognized by both WAMI and the Madison Area Music Association,” TMOR stated. “They are accomplished entertainers, performing a range of original songs that appeal to fans of roots rock, old school R&B and blues. Each performance guarantees an engaging experience.”

Hip Pocket is slated to perform on Wednesday, July 2.

“This band is known for its lead vocals and four-part harmonies,” TMOR said. “The nine-member ensemble will play a variety of music genres, including top 40 hits, R&B, Latin-infused music, jazz, pop, modern rock  and classic rock. Hip Pocket performs for audiences of all ages, providing a diverse musical experience.”

Tomahawk-based group The Tamaracks will keep the series rolling on Wednesday, July 9.

“The Tamaracks have earned acclaim across the state,” TMOR said. “Their music integrates rock, blues, country and bluegrass genres seamlessly, resulting in a successful blend of styles. Attendees can expect to enjoy both well-known hits and original compositions, all performed with distinctive artistry.”

On Wednesday, July 16, the Cougars will take the TMOR stage.

“This talented six-piece group features three lead female vocalists who perform a diverse repertoire, ranging from Journey to Lady Gaga, showcasing their exceptional harmonies,” TMOR stated. “The Cougars present an engaging mix of pop, ‘80s music and cross-over country. Renowned as one of the most popular bands in the Midwest and a major draw in the Green Bay area, The Cougars consistently deliver an impressive performance.”

The Jerry Schmitt Band will wrap up the concert series on Wednesday, July 23.

“A Nashville recording artist, Jerry Schmitt, along with his band, is recognized as one of the leading country artists in the United States,” TMOR said. “Their sound encompasses both modern and traditional country music, infused with rockabilly elements. This blend appeals to a wide audience across all age groups. The band's commitment to performing and preserving traditional country music ensures that each show offers a unique experience for their audience.”
