Middle school wrestlers go 1-3, place 7th at annual DC Everest tournament

WESTON – The Tomahawk middle school wrestlers traveled to DC Everest on Friday, Jan 14, to compete in their annual team tournament. Eight teams competed, and the Hatchets placed 7th overall, going 1-3 as a team.

The teams involved were DC Everest, Marshfield, Antigo, John Muir Blue, Horace Mann, John Muir White, Horace Mann, and Tomahawk.

The Hatchets gave up four forfeits per match and won 68% of the actual matches wrestled.

The following wrestlers came away with at least one victory on the day: Judah Alberg, Hudson Evans, Walter Horabik, Kaiden Kapellusch, Colton McMeekin, Cash Olsen, Bradyn Ristau, Uriyah Tebeau, Masen Towle and Zander Zehner.

The middle school Hatchet grapplers were back in action on Monday, Jan. 17, when they traveled to Prairie River Middle School in Merrill for a CWWC scramble meet.
