TOMAHAWK – Tomahawk Main Street Inc. (TMS) last week shared its 2025 Honor Banners.
Honor Banners pay tribute to area residents who served in the armed forces, featuring names, photos and ranks. The banners, which are sponsored by families and friends of local veterans, are hung along W. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Tomahawk.
Each year since the Honor Banner program began in 2019, Main Street has contributed a portion of the program’s proceeds to American Legion Post 93 and VFW Post 2687.
The 2024 Honor Banner campaign raised $1,000.00 for each organization. In turn, the Legion backed the launch of a new Legion softball team, while the VFW was able to make updates to its building on S. 4th St.
The 2025 Honor Banners will be displayed from Crossbridge Community Bank throughout all four blocks of Tomahawk’s historic downtown, TMS said.
