TOMAHAWK – Over the course of two days, Tomahawk High School (THS) students had the opportunity to put their newly-acquired job interview skills into practice.
Business Instructor Connor Ahrens explained that through a series of mock job interviews, students engaged one-on-one with representatives from prominent local businesses, receiving both practical experience and individualized feedback.
“Generously volunteering their time and expertise, representatives from Packaging Corporation of America (PCA), Daigle Brothers, IncredibleBank, Crossbridge Community Bank, Louisiana-Pacific (LP) and Tomahawk Main Street Inc. offered students insights into the professional world, sharing tips on effective communication, confidence building and professional etiquette,” Ahrens stated.
This real-world interaction helped prepare the students for future opportunities by refining their interview techniques and reinforcing the importance of personal presentation, Ahrens added.
