Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: Nov. 17, 2025

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Nov. 17:

On 11/10/2025 deputies were sent to the area of USH 8 and Meyer Rd. in the Town of Somo for a car vs. pedestrian crash with injuries. It was reported that a vehicle being operated by a Ladysmith man, 27, was W/B on USH 8 when he came upon a utility/work crew parked on the shoulder of the road working on fiber-optic cable in the area. The work zone was posted to 45 MPH for the work zone. The driver stated he slowed down to 45 MPH but was unable to move over due to oncoming traffic. As the vehicle passed through the work zone, a worker was stuck by the W/B vehicle. The worker denied an ambulance, but was later transported by private auto for an ankle injury.

On 11/11/2025 deputies were dispatched to the area of CTH W and Deer Run Rd. in the Town of Pine River for a two-car crash with injuries. A vehicle being operated by a Merrill man, 72, pulled out in front of a vehicle traveling N/B on CTH W. The N/B vehicle, being operated by a Merrill man, 80, struck the vehicle. Both drivers reported injuries.

Deputies conducted 31 traffic stops and 27 security checks.

Deputies responded to 26 car vs. deer crashes.
