As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, March 2:
On 02/24/26 a deputy on patrol stopped a vehicle for speed and lane deviation on CTH S near STH 107 in the Town of Bradley. After making contact with the driver, an Irma woman, the deputy noticed signs of impairment. The deputy asked the woman if she would perform some sobriety tests, which she agreed to do. Following the tests, she was placed under arrest for a first offense of OWI. She was later released to a responsible party.
On 02/26/26 a deputy was dispatched to an address on CTH K in the Town of Scott for a theft complaint. The R/P reported that on two different occasions, the same truck took bags of firewood without paying for them. The R/P was able to get pictures of the suspect vehicle and identify a suspect. The deputy made contact with the suspect, a Merrill man. The man denied involvement in taking the items. The deputy also found that the man had previously stolen corn from the Hwy. 51 truck stop. After that incident, the man returned to the truck stop to pay for the corn. The man was given the same opportunity in this theft, but continued to deny involvement. The man was placed under arrest for theft and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
On 02/28/26 a deputy on patrol observed a vehicle traveling 82 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on USH 8 near CTH Y in the Town of Bradley. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver increased the vehicle speed to over 100 MPH causing the deputy to initiate a pursuit. After a short distance, the driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed, causing the vehicle to rollover. The driver, a Tomahawk man, was taken into custody. He was then checked out by EMS, but denied any injuries. In speaking with the man, the deputy noticed signs of impairment. The man was asked and agreed to do sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, the man was also arrested for a second offense OWI. He was later transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was booked in for the OWI, as well as fleeing, operating after revocation, failure to install an IID and second offense of possession of marijuana, as well as several traffic violations.
Deputies conducted 56 traffic stops and 26 security checks.

As reported Monday, March 9:
On 03/4/26 a deputy with the Sheriff’s Office assisted Lincoln County Social Services with an investigation into an alleged child abuse complaint in the Town of Bradley. It was reported that a child, 9, had bruising on her face that seemed consistent with physical abuse. In speaking with the child, she said that her grandpa questioned her about taking a yo-yo to school and she lied about it. The girl stated that her grandpa took her belongings away, which caused the child to become upset. The grandpa then grabbed the child by the hair and slammed her face into a dresser three times causing a bloody nose. The deputy spoke with the grandpa, an Irma man, and he eventually admitted to the incident. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the Lincoln County Jail for intentionally causing harm to a child.
On 03/5/26 a deputy was dispatched to the Tomahawk School to speak with a student who was reporting a domestic-related incident that had happened at home in Town of Birch. The child reported that her mom and dad had gotten into a fight, and at some point, the mother tried to leave, and she was not permitted to by the father. The father also broke the mother’s cell phone. The deputy later spoke to the mother about the incident. She declined to complete the paperwork for the domestic incident. The father, a Tomahawk man, was located and taken into custody. He was transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was booked on a probation hold, as well as false imprisonment, felony intimidation of a victim, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
On 03/7/26 deputies were dispatched to the area of CTH X and Jane Spur Rd. in the Town of Schley for a reported two-car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, it was found that a vehicle with a trailer was parked facing N/B on the S/B side of the highway as the individuals from that vehicle were collecting maple sap. A passenger from that vehicle was standing in the trailer holding the sap hose. The hazard lights were flashing on the vehicle. A second car that was traveling S/B on CTH X was not able to pull over due to another N/B vehicle. The second vehicle ended up striking the parked vehicle head on. The passenger in the trailer and the driver of the striking vehicle were injured. The operator of the parked vehicle will be cited for illegal parking.
Deputies conducted 59 traffic stops and 33 security checks.
