As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, June 9:
On 6/5/2025 a deputy on patrol observed a vehicle traveling W/B on CTH A near Erickson Ln. in the Town of Bradley, weaving over the centerline and fog line multiple times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, a Tomahawk woman, 68. In speaking with the driver, the deputy noticed signs of impairment. The woman was asked to perform some sobriety tests, which she refused to do. As a result, the woman was placed under arrest for a first offense of OWI. She was later released to a responsible party.
On 6/6/2025 the deputy on patrol stopped a vehicle on USH 51 near the 216 mile marker in the Town of Merrill for traveling 93 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. When making contact with the driver, an Oak Creek man, 53, his female passenger was experiencing a medical emergency and needed to get to the hospital. The woman was offered an ambulance, but refused. In checking the man’s driving status, it was learned that he was revoked and ordered by the court not to be driving without a valid driver’s license. The man was arrested for felony bail jumping x2 and given several traffic citations.
On 06/1/2025 deputies were sent to the intersection of Corning Rd and CTH Z in the Town of Corning for a two-car crash with injuries. Deputies found that a truck traveling N/B on Corning Rd. failed to stop at a stop sign at CTH Z when it was struck by a vehicle traveling E/B on CTH Z. Both drivers complained of minor injuries. The driver of the truck was transported by Merrill Ambulance to Aspirus Merrill Hospital. The driver of the truck was cited for failure to stop for a stop sign.
Deputies conducted 67 traffic stops and 13 security checks.
Deputies responded to 11 car vs. deer crashes.
