As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, Feb. 11:
On 2/6/2025 deputies were dispatched to the area of STH 64 and Hill View Rd. in the Township of Pine River for a reported car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the driver of the car, an Antigo man, 33. The driver stated he was on his way to work when he attempted to pass another vehicle. While passing the other vehicle, the driver stated he lost control of his car and entered the ditch on the south side of the road. The driver was reporting pain in his back. He was transported by Merrill EMS to Aspirus Merrill Hospital.
On 2/7/2025 deputies were sent to the area of Big Hill Dr. and South End Rd. in the Township of Rock Falls for a reported car crash with injuries. The driver of the car, a Merrill man, 53, stated he was traveling S/B on South End Rd. when he entered the west ditch, where he hit two traffic signs and a large pine tree. The driver stated he thought he sustained internal injuries. He was transported by Merrill EMS to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The crash is still under investigation.
On 02/7/2025 deputies were called to an address in the N4700 block of STH 17 in the Town of Schley for a Gleason man, 56, who was reporting that he was threatened with a gun by a Tomahawk man, 38. The victim stated that he and the suspect had an argument, and during the argument, the suspect brandished a handgun. The victim stated the suspect didn’t point the gun at him, but he did feel threatened by the gun. The suspect fled the scene prior to deputy’s arrival. The suspect was located later in the evening and was taken into custody. He was booked into the Lincoln County Jail for second degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct while armed and felon in possession of a firearm.
On 02/8/2025 deputies were dispatched to an address in the W1700 block of Center Rd. in the Township of Pine River for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim, a Merrill woman, 42. The woman was reporting that the suspect, her husband, a Merrill man, 44, was not allowing her to leave the house. The victim went on to say that the couple’s kids wanted to leave with her and go to the store, but the suspect wouldn’t allow that to happen. There were several items in the house that were damaged during the argument. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was booked for domestic disorderly conduct
Deputies conducted eight traffic stops and 75 security checks.
Deputies responded to four car vs. deer crashes.
Driving complaints: Two.
The 911 Center took seven hang-up calls and two nuisance calls.
