LINCOLN COUNTY – A collaborative investigation between the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and law enforcement in California led to the recovery of $120,000.00 worth of stolen equipment and property.
A Wednesday, May 31 release from the Sheriff’s Office said that on Friday, May 19, the Sheriff’s Office had been notified of a “substantial theft of equipment” from Sacramento, Calif.
The stolen equipment was not specifically identified by the Sheriff’s Office.
Leads followed by Sacramento Police Department detectives led them to Lincoln County.
“Through collaboration and sharing of pertinent information,” the Sheriff’s Office said, a search warrant was obtained for a residence in the Town of Bradley on Tuesday, May 30.
The Sheriff’s Office said it ultimately recovered all of the stolen equipment, along with additional stolen property, which totaled over $120,000.00.
As of press time on Monday, June 5, the individuals involved were not identified due to the ongoing joint investigation.
In the release, the Sheriff’s Office thanked the Sacramento detectives for their “prompt sharing of information during the search, which was vital to the recovery of the stolen property.”
