LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications to fill a vacant seat.
Board Chair Kevin Koth announced during the board’s March 16 meeting that District 15 Supervisor Robert Lee would resign. Lee submitted his resignation, effective at the end of March, after over 23 years as a board member. Along with previously having served as board chair, Lee has also worked in law enforcement and was mayor of the City of Tomahawk.
District 15 represents Wards 1 and 2 in the City of Tomahawk.
Interested persons residing in the district must submit a letter of interest to Lincoln County Clerk Chris Marlowe by 12 p.m. on Friday, April 23. Letters of interest and personal qualifications can be mailed to the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office, 801 N. Sales St, Suite 201, Merrill, Wis., 54452, or emailed to Marlowe at cmarlowe@co.lincoln.wi.us.
Interviews will be scheduled shortly after the application deadline, according to a notice from the Clerk’s Office.
The board will vote on the appointment to fill the vacancy during its May 18, 2021 meeting.
The appointed individual will serve the rest of Lee’s term, which ends on April 18, 2022.
