Lena “Lee” Kriesant, 84, a longtime Tomahawk resident, passed away peacefully at Friendly Village Nursing Home in Rhinelander on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019.
Lee was born Oct. 29, 1935 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Joseph and Irene (Zoual) Oliverii. She was married to Walter “Wally” Kriesant, who passed away in 2016. Lee lived much of her life in the Chicago area, formerly working at Lieberman’s Record Distributing. She and Wally moved to the Tomahawk area in 1991 and owned and operated Four Corners Tap until 2016. Lee enjoyed shopping, golfing, and visiting with friends at Four Corners.
Surviving Lee Kriesant are three children, Fred Morgan of Skokie, Ill., Johnny Kriesant of Merrill, and Terry Abrams of Indiana. She is further survived by her siblings, Frank, Moreno, Rosemary, six grandchildren, and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wally, and a sister, Joanne.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. Krueger Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Tomahawk, assisted the family.
