TOMAHAWK – The Lincoln County Veterans Service Office (LCVSO) this week announced that it will continue its outreach program in Tomahawk through the end of the year.
In 2025, the LCVSO began holding hours twice monthly at City Hall, 23 N. 2nd St., Tomahawk, providing a convenient location for veterans to meet with the LCVSO and receive assistance with a variety of benefits and services.
“The decision to continue these visits was made in response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from veterans in the community,” the LCVSO said in a release. “The LCVSO recognizes the importance of making its services easily accessible to all veterans, and this outreach program is just one way that it is working to achieve that goal.”
All veterans are encouraged by the LCVSO to take advantage of the resource.
“By connecting with the LCVSO, veterans can learn about the full range of benefits and services available to them, including: compensation and pension; education and training; healthcare; housing assistance; burial benefits; and more,” the LCVSO stated.
The LVCSO is continuing its schedule from last year, offering its services in Tomahawk on two Thursdays per month.
Upcoming dates include Thursday, Jan. 22; and Thursday, Feb. 5.
Veterans who are interested in scheduling an appointment with the LCVSO at City Hall can call 715-539-1083. Walk-ins may also be accommodated based on availability.
In addition to the outreach program at Tomahawk City Hall, the LCVSO also offers a variety of other services to veterans in Lincoln County, including individual counseling and assistance; claims preparation and filing; representation at hearings; outreach and education; and referrals to other community resources.
“The Lincoln County Veterans Department is committed to serving the needs of all veterans in Lincoln County,” the LCVSO stated.
