LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) announced on Monday, Oct. 11 that it will hold flu vaccine clinics for Lincoln County students in grades 4K through 12.
The flu vaccine will be provided to students at no charge. Flu shots and nasal mist will be available.
“An annual flu shot is the best way to prevent the flu and is recommended for everyone six months and older,” LCHD stated.
“We are pleased to be able to offer this service at no charge for students this school year,” said Shelley Hersil, Health Officer/Director for LCHD. “Being able to save parents time and help keep kids healthy and in school is a benefit for all.”
Flu vaccine clinics will be held at the following locations:
LCHD noted that the schedule is dependent on flu vaccine availability, and any schedule changes will be communicated to families.
Pre-registration is required for all clinics. No walk-ins will be accepted. To pre-register, visit www.bit.ly/3zMKa0A. Pre-registration deadline is at noon the day prior to the clinic.
“By completing the pre-registration form, parent(s)/guardian(s) are giving consent to LCHD to vaccinate their child with the flu vaccine while at school,” LCHD said “Parent(s)/guardian(s) do not need to be present. Please have your child dress appropriately so their upper arm is easily accessible the day of clinic. A face mask is required. “
