We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Judy Bostwick, who peacefully left this world May 8 2024, at the end of age 83.

Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend to many. She was born Aug. 8, 1940, in Pearson to Raymond and Ruby Peterson and spent her early years surrounded by a loving family.

She was married to Ralph Bostwick on Nov. 23, 1960, who preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 2021. She was the proud mother of Debbie Leverance, Stevens Point, Wis., Brian Bostwick (Mary) Flagstaff, Ariz., and Wayne Bostwick, Tomahawk.

She is survived by her grandchildren Heather (Jacob) Gaedtke, Andrew Leverance, Jamie (Dusty) Buchholz, Courtney (Colin) Schrek, Tara Bostwick, Brittani (Bob) Flynn and Tyler Bostwick. Great-grandchildren Andrew Brown, Summer Gaedtke, Clayton Gaedtke, Evan Buchholz, Leah Buchholz, Saylor Schrek, Haisley Schrek and Charlie Flynn. Siblings Lila Delano, Carl Peterson (Carol). Judy is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Ruby Peterson, brother Robert (Mary) Peterson and niece Lori Delano Olson.

With her husband Ralph they owned and operated the A&W Root Beer Stand in Tomahawk. After many years in the Root Beer Stand, they then changed to a family style restaurant, The Chef’s Corner. Up until Judy’s passing, she still had requests for her famous BBQ and coleslaw recipes. They truly enjoyed the fond memories of the many employees they had throughout the years, especially the high school students.

Judy will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Judy had a heart of gold and a kind and gentle spirit that touched everyone she met. She was known for her generosity, infectious laughter, and unwavering faith. She was a pillar of strength and support.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to Amy Brunner, a special friend of the family especially Judith, the staff and doctors at St. Vincent Hospital Green Bay, Wis., Woodside Lutheran Communities Ashwaubenon, Wis.

Judy will forever be remembered for her kindness, grace, and unwavering love. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear mother. You will always be our guiding light.
