James “Jim” Fredrick Kaiser

Posted

James “Jim” Fredrick Kaiser, age 83, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in the palliative care unit. The day before his passing, he told his wife, Linda as she was leaving to go home, “I’ll see you on the other side”.

Jim was born on January 13, 1943 at Waukesha Hospital to the late Fredrick and Dorothy (Smart) Kaiser. He was raised on a farm in North Prairie, WI. Jim went to Mukwonago High School, graduating in 1961. He married his best friend, Linda Nielsen in 1964. They raised 2 sons, Fred and Mike that he was very proud of. Jim and Linda were married for 61 years.

He served his country in the National Guard for 6 years. Jim worked at Bill’s gas station, Wolf Construction and Tabat Electric. He then moved to Tomahawk with his family, where they owned and operated the “Pit Stop” for 11 years, before selling it. Jim then worked for Myre Electric, and then Tomahawk Log & Country Homes until retiring. He was quite the guy, and one of a kind.

Many people will remember his “Jim sayings”. He said he loved his life and had no regrets. He enjoyed deer hunting; it was practically written in his marriage vows that he would be gone 10 days for deer season. Jim had fun shooting pool, playing sheepshead with the brothers-in-law, and bowling. His greatest joy in sports was golfing, especially with his sons, Fred and Mike. Thru the years there were many trips to Florida. He enjoyed the two trips to Hawaii. In later years as the family grew, he really enjoyed time spent with grandkids and then great grandkids. When speaking of his life he said “I had a great ride”.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Kaiser,

his sons, Fredrick (Monique) Kaiser, and Michael (Katie) Kaiser,

his granddaughter, Melissa (Adam) Vanderhei,

his grandsons, Matthew (Tori) Kaiser, Collin Kaiser, Austin Kaiser, and Jaxon Kaiser,

his great grandchildren, Bradyn, Jack, and Adalyn Vanderhei, Kaylee, Khloe, and Kara Kaiser.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Dorothy Kaiser, his sister, Judith (Bob) Bailey, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Lorraine Nielsen, and his brother-in-law, Ron Riley.

Jim’s family would like to thank all who were a part of his life. Please know you were a blessing and that he is now at peace.

Following Jim’s wishes, a private family graveside service will take place at a later date.

Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
