MOSINEE – The Tomahawk Hatchet golf team ended its regular season with three Great Northern Conference (GNC) meets last week.
Mosinee
The Hatchets kicked off the week in Mosinee on Tuesday, May 14, where they placed 6th with a team score of 368.
Owen Dickrell was Tomahawk’s top golfer, ending the day with a core of 87. Other Hatchet finishers included Noah Pearson (89), Sawyer Hanna (95), Carson Childers (97) and Caiden Reichelt (102).
Antigo
On Wednesday, May 15, the Hatchets traveled to Antigo and came away with an identical team placement and score as they day prior (6th, 368).
Pearson’s score of 86 was the best of the Tomahawk golfers, followed by Hanna (89), Reichelt (94), Lamer (99) and Dickrell (100).
Coach Garth Gerstenberger said Pearson “played really well” in Antigo, noting that he was effective with his 3 wood and putter.
Lakeland
The Tomahawk golfers ended their season in Lakeland on Thursday, May 16, where they once again placed 6th with a team score of 368.
With an 85 on the day, Hanna was the top Tomahawk golfer. Dickrell (91), Reichelt (94), Lamer (98) and Pearson (107) rounded out the Hatchet scorers.
Jack Rubo of Lakeland was named the GNC Player of the Year, while Lakeland’s Scott Howard received Coach of the Year honors.
Lamer received All-Conference honorable mention.
