Golf: Sawyer Hanna qualifies for Sectionals

SOLON SPRINGS – The Tomahawk Hatchet golf team took part in a Regional meet at Hidden Greens Golf Course in Solon Springs on Tuesday, May 21 and finished in seventh place out of ten teams.

Lakeland took first place with a score of 307, followed by Rice Lake (331), Hayward (345), Northland Pines (346), Northwestern (348), Antigo (360), Tomahawk (361), Ashland (363), Spooner (397) and Barron (428).

With a score of 85, Tomahawk’s Sawyer Hanna punched his ticket for Sectionals for the second-straight year. Austin Lamer missed qualification by two strokes with a score of 89. Other Hatchet scores included Caiden Reichelt (90), Carson Childers (97) and Owen Dickrell (97).

The Sectional meet is slated to be hosted by Rice Lake on Tuesday, May 28.
