Glenn J. Christianson

Glenn J. Christianson, age 82, of Weston, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at his home, under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Glenn was born in New London, Wis., on April 30, 1941, to the late Harvey and Florence (Burton) Christianson. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Glenn was married to Sharon Gettendorf on July 24, 1965; she survives.

Glenn moved to Tomahawk in 1984 after living in Milwaukee for over 20 years. He was a longtime employee of Harley-Davidson at both the Milwaukee and Tomahawk plants, beginning employment in 1965. Coincidentally, three of his children also worked at Harley with a combined commitment of over 100 years of service. Glenn’s passion was his family and motorcycles. He played an integral part in chairing the Tomahawk Fall Ride for years. He dedicated many hours volunteering at the Tomahawk Food Pantry and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tomahawk, in addition to the Corpus Christi Parish and School in Milwaukee, and was a familiar face within the communities always helping wherever needed. Glenn loved to travel taking numerous motorcycle trips, putting on many miles four-wheeling out west and throughout area trails with his dear friends, and enjoyed time spent at his home in Florida. He was a true family man with a strong faith who loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. He will forever be missed by his family and friends. Glenn was a faithful member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Weston.

Survivors include his wife of over 58 years, Sharon Christianson; his children, Randy (Denise) Christianson, Mark (Jan) Christianson, Debbie Christianson, and Jodi (Scott) Scanlan; his siblings, Jeanne Buschke, Kevin (Robin) Nolan, and Patrick (Chris) Nolan; and his grandchildren, Drew (Lacy) Christianson, Kylie (John) Greiling, Kelsi Christianson, Mallory (Chelsie) Teetzel, Jaret (Danielle) Christianson, Trystan Christianson (Colin O’Neill), McKenna Christianson, Carson Christianson, Kada Christianson, Taya Christianson, and Cayden Christianson. He is further survived by eight great-grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Florence; his grandson, David Burdick; his stepfather, Edward Nolan; his brother, Dan (Debbie) Nolan; and his brother-in-law, James Buschke.

A memorial mass for Glenn Christianson was held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Weston, at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Jerome Patric will officiate. The family received friends for visitation from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., with a eulogy beginning at 10 a.m. Private inurnment will take place at the St. Augustine Cemetery in the Town of Harrison. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
