ONEIDA COUNTY – Three men and one woman are facing felony charges in Oneida County court related to alleged false imprisonment and abuse that took place last month in the Town of Pine Lake.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was dropped off at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 22 and stated she had been held captive, tied to a chair, strangled with a belt and beaten at a Pine Lake residence.
Following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Rhinelander Police Department, deputies arrested Rhinelander residents Darren M. Hewison, 33, and Laura L. Schultz, 38. Two other individuals, Andrew P. Horbinski, 30, and Jay W. Lloyd, 38, were listed as homeless.
Hewison is charged with 11 felonies, including false imprisonment, possession of methamphetamine, second degree sexual assault, domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, battery and robbery. He is in jail on a $20,000.00 cash bond.
Schultz is in the Oneida County Jail on a $15,000.00 cash bond on charges of false imprisonment and possession of methamphetamine.
Horbinski is charged with false imprisonment, robbery, possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping. He is jailed on a $15,000.00 cash bond.
Lloyd is jailed on a $20,000.00 cash bond and faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, false imprisonment, robbery and battery.
