The cows at the Brad Juedes Dairy Farm are the first in Lincoln County to decide when they want to be milked by taking themselves to a fully automated milking parlor. The advancement in farming on display at the Juedes' Farm was just part of the new technology viewed by those taking part in the Lincoln County Dairy Farm Tour hosted by the Lincoln County Farm Bureau on Aug. 3. Along with touring the self-milking system, those taking part in the tour also got to visit Breitenmoser Farm in southern Lincoln County where solar power provides a portion of the power used to run the farm.
