DNR service centers, call center to close for staff training

Posted

WISCONSIN – Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) service center counters, the agency’s statewide call center and email service will be unavailable on Wednesday, Aug. 26 and Thursday, Aug. 27, due to staff training.

All DNR Customer and Outreach Services staff will be attending training, including program-specific sessions, during the closure.

The DNR said it selected the dates because they coincide with the lowest license sales and phone call volume of the year.

The DNR Tipline, Emergency Spills line and Wisconsin Emergency Management hotline will continue to be answered during the closure.

Many DNR services will remain available online at www.dnr.wisconsin.gov during the closure, including remote options for registering boats and vehicles.

Hunting and fishing licenses can be purchased online through Go Wild at www.gowild.wi.gov. License agents throughout Wisconsin can also provide boat and recreational vehicle renewal services, sell ATV/UTV trail passes, and issue fishing and hunting licenses.

Counter services, the call center and email responses will resume normal business hours on Friday, Aug. 28.
