On Feb. 8, 2024, David Ashley Manninen, age 51, of Tomahawk, went to his forever home with our Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dave was born on March 21, 1972 in Tomahawk and was a 1990 graduate of Tomahawk High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and worked as the Lincoln County Jail Administrator for many years. He was a lover of music, an expert grill master, avid fisherman, and lover of the outdoors.
He was a dedicated father, beloved brother and son and a loyal friend. His laugh was contagious, his hugs were amazing and he was of course "The DAVE".
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Michael (Wife: Taylour) and Josef Manninen; mother, Suzanne Horn; siblings, Valorie Nelson (Husband: Rick), Das Manninen (Wife: Lauren), and Tanya Manninen; his beloved nieces and nephews; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Floyd Manninen, on Monday, Feb. 25, 2019.
Dave will be dearly missed by all. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, his bullweiner dog, Olive.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Dave was held Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Floyd's Timber Tavern, 433 S. Tomahawk Ave. in Tomahawk.
