It is with a sense of loss, we announce Catherine “Cathy” Bruso, has returned to her home with Jesus on May 11, 2026, due to complications from surgery.
Cathy was born on July 16, 1969, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, to Joseph and Janet Bruso. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet, and is survived by her father, Joseph, her brothers Andy (Joan), Mark (Cindy), and Chris (Elsa), and her sister, Laurie.
Cathy was very close to all of her nieces and nephews: Meghan Bruso, Grace and Ethan Thompson, David Bruso, Miranda (Elijah) Cannon; Paige Cannon; Chase Cannon, Taylor Cannon, Zachary Mayo, Victoria Mayo (Mick Kelly) Abby Bruso, Zoe Bruso and Jack Filer, Joshua Cline (Katrina Cisewski), and Jeremy Cline. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Known for her love of Jesus and generous spirit, Cathy continued giving even after her passing, through organ donation. Her family was comforted to learn that her gift of life helped three other people.
Cathy worked at Harley-Davidson in Tomahawk for the past 24 years, and will be dearly missed by her amazing friends and coworkers
She also leaves behind her beloved rescue puppies, Zero and Cricket, and has now been reunited with her happiest dog ever, Flea, who passed away a few months ago.
We thank everyone for their continued and countless prayers over the past several months
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at Pizza Haven in Rhinelander. We ask that you bring smiles and laughter, as that would be Cathy's wishes.
