Posted

Ardys “Archie” Crohn, age 84 of Tomahawk, passed away with family at her side on June 18, 2024 at Tomahawk Health Services. She was born on Nov. 20, 1939 in Duluth, Minn., to parents Dorothy (McGregor) and Clifford McGath. She attended Denfeld High School, class of 1957.

Archie loved interacting with others. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing cards and camping with her friends and family. After raising her children, Archie worked in retail/customer service for 35 years in Minnesota, Colorado, and most recently Tomahawk. She truly enjoyed the connections she made daily with so many people over the years; working full time until the age of 75. After retiring, Archie enjoyed reading and shopping on TV but her most precious activity was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved them all very deeply.

Archie is survived by her daughter Tami Olson, her son Terry (Lisa) Katzmarek, grandchildren Kaylyn Schoone, Kyle Olson, Kamron (fiance’ Laney Erickson) Olson, Kade Katzmarek, Beau Katzmarek, great-grandchildren Maylee Schoone and Gatlin Schoone and special nieces Mary (Steve) Rich-Raj and Pauline (Shane) Custer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael McGath and beloved sisters-in-law, Susan McGath and Katherine Katzmarek-Rich.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Archie with graveside services at Greenwood Cemetery, N10824 Hagar Rd., Tomahawk, Wis., at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, with a luncheon to follow at Grace Lutheran Church, 108 W. Somo Ave., Tomahawk.

In honor of Archie’s very special dogs over the years, in lieu of flowers, please direct a donation to the Humane Society of Lincoln County. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory of Tomahawk assisted the family. Leave online condolences at www.generationsfuneral.com.
