ONEIDA COUNTY – The Oneida County Human Services Committee is accepting applications from interested Oneida County residents for one citizen member vacancy.
The Human Services Committee is appointed by the Oneida County Board of Supervisors and is the policy-making body for the Human Services Department of Oneida County.
The Human Services Committee represents Oneida County residents regarding programs and county policy for Oneida County Human Services. This nine-member committee (five elected county supervisors and four citizens) meets monthly. They focus on ensuring that the budget aligns with the organizational goals, provide strategic direction, evaluate services provided and promote those services to the community at large.
The vacant seat is for a citizen member who meets one or more of the following criteria:
Membership on the Human Services Committee requires attending a meeting in Rhinelander at the Courthouse, currently scheduled for 1 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. Members receive a meeting stipend and mileage reimbursement to travel to the meetings.
Interested Oneida County residents should contact Oneida County Human Services to receive an application.
Applications are due back to the Agency on or before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 14.
The Human Services Committee will review all applications and a candidate will be selected to recommend to the County Board Chair for official appointment.
