Andy Thomas MacMorran, 78, passed away March 20, 2025 at the Seasons for Life Hospice House in Woodruff, Wis. He was born Feb. 17, 1947 in Evanston, Ill., the son of Andrew Donald (Don) MacMorran and Jane (Torkilson) MacMorran. He was united in marriage on May 9, 1987 to Nancy J. Schoone. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a granddaughter.
He is survived by his sons Anthony (Vilia) Turgeon, Kenosha, Wis., Mark (Amy) Turgeon, Buckley, Wash., Jeffrey (Diana) Turgeon, North Pole, Alaska, and a daughter, Kimberley Hoholek, Janesville, Wis. Additionally, he is survived by a brother James (Mary) MacMorran, Buffalo Grove, Illinois, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Andy was a 1965 graduate of University High School, Bloomington, Ind., and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Upon graduation, he worked for the federal government in the Rhinelander area before working as the Lincoln County Zoning Administrator. After retiring from the county, he worked for Lamar Sign Company, Marshfield, Wis. Upon his official retirement, he and Nancy enjoyed traveling around the country, visiting all 50 states and many providences of Canada. They also enjoyed visiting the National Parks across the country.
At his request, there will be no funeral services.
