TOMAHAWK – Area residents casting votes for the City of Tomahawk Common Council and the School District of Tomahawk Board of Education in the Tuesday, April 4 Spring Election will see only familiar names on ballots.

No challengers filed candidacy paperwork for either nonpartisan race prior to the Tuesday, Jan. 3 deadline, meaning six incumbents – three on the city council and three on the school board – will appear on ballots unopposed.

District 1 alderperson Patricia Haskin, District 2 alderperson Dale Ernst and District 3 alderperson Steve “Ding” Bartz are each seeking another term on the city council and will not see challengers on ballots.

In their bids to return to the school board, Ron Zimmerman and Kay Kissinger Wolf, who both represent the Towns of Bradley, Birch, Skanawan, Tomahawk and Rock Falls, and Dave Long, who represents the Towns of King and Harrison, will appear on ballots without opponents.
