Lincoln County accepting applications for vacant District 5 Supervisor position

LINCOLN COUNTY – Applications are being accepted for the vacant position of District 5 Supervisor on the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors.

The vacancy was posted on the Lincoln County website on Thursday, Nov. 17.

The seat was vacated by Nathan Peterson, who recently resigned for “personal reasons,” according to Board Chair Don Friske.

District 5 represents Wards 9 and 10 in the City of Merrill.

The posting on the Lincoln County website says preference will be given to applications received by 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12.

The board is expected to approve the appointment to fill the vacancy during its meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The successful candidate will serve the remainder of Peterson’s term, which ends on April 15, 2024.
