Evers approves repairs for WIS 107 in Lincoln County 

Work will include replacing culverts, repairing structures over two creeks

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced on Thursday, Nov. 3 that Governor Tony Evers had signed a $1.1 million contract to improve WIS 107 between Swede Rd. and County Hwy. S in the Towns of Bradley, Merrill and Rock Falls in Lincoln County.

A release from WisDOT said work is scheduled to begin in June 2023. Pheifer Brothers Construction is the prime contractor for the project.

WisDOT said construction will include replacing the culvert pipes, repaving the roadway at locations 0.6 miles north of Eggert Drive and 0.2 miles north of Rock Falls Drive, repairing structure and improving the pavement at Joe Snow Creek and replacing structure and pavement replacement at Skanawan Creek.

Construction is scheduled for completion by Sept. 2023, according to WisDOT.

“The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress,” WisDOT stated. “State transportation funds will pay for 100% of the improvements.”
